HIGHLIGHTS
Since 28 November, UNICEF/RRMP via partner Merlin has received 883 new cases, made 68 emergency referrals, given care to 29 malnutrition cases and treated 27 patients in life threatening conditions.
UNICEF and its partners have started distribution of school material in IDP sites Mugunga I, III, Lac Vert. So far 290 students kits, 70 teachers kits and 5 Didactic Kits have been distributed.
In Goma 37 non-accompanied children (including 27 girls) were identified during this period bringing the overall cumulative figure of unaccompanied and separated children identified to 695 (including 393 girls). 24 children (including 13 girls) among them were reunified with their families. In Minova there are 39 separated children (27 girls) as well as 22 unaccompanied children (9 girls and 13 boys). 8 children were reunited with their families and the rest are being cared for in foster families supervised by UNICEF partners.
