Addis Ababa October 6/2012 The Ministry of Federal Affairs said villagization program implemented across the country in 2004 E.C. benefits over 79,000 individuals. Ministry Public Relation Head, Abebe Worku told ENA that the program includes construction of 12 health posts and 33 primary schools. According to him, construction of 36 water facilities and 80 residential units is also underway. The head said voluntary villagization program is underway in Benishangul-Gumuz, Gambella, Afar and Somali States. He said the settlers have benefited from the efforts of democratization, agricultural social and economic services, among others. The Ministry is working in collaboration with neighboring states and a supportive team established for the same cause. The program has benefited over 217,000 households since 2003 EC. Over 200 water facilities have been constructed in the reported period.
