Medical supplies are severely low in Syria and 59% of public hospitals have been damaged or destroyed, leaving wounded and vulnerable Syrians without access to medical care. These shortages could mean the difference between life and death for thousands of Syrians affected by the conflict.
Islamic Relief continues to provide essential medical aid inside Syria and recently provided over 100 types of disposables for surgeries, first aid and Intensive Care Units. These were delivered to 30 hospitals and 60 medical points. Though Islamic Relief has spent £700,000 on medical aid inside Syria to date, funds are still urgently needed.
This short video highlights the extent of the medical shortages in Syria’s hospitals, and Islamic Relief’s efforts to provide medical aid to meet those gaps. Please continue to give generously – your donation could save lives.
