SITUATION OVERVIEW

NDMA estimates that 5.06 million people are affected across three provinces.

UNICEF KEY ACHIEVEMENTS

  • 267,900 people reached with safe drinking water through water trucking and household water treatment options.

  • 96,152 people provided with family hygiene packages.

  • 56,910 children reached with de-worming medicine.

  • 40,533 children vaccinated against measles.

  • 28,279 children provided Vitamin A supplementation.

  • 15,014 children and 1,719 pregnant and lactating women screened for malnutrition.

  • 382 children accessing education in four Temporary Learning Centres where UNICEF is providing learning supplies and teacher training.

  • 279 children are attending Protective Learning and Community Emergency Services (PLaCES).
