Australian doctors working in Papua New Guinea's Western Province have raised concerns over the number of tuberculosis cases they have discovered.

Since the closure of Australian health clinics on the Torres Straits' islands aid agency AusAid has been working on getting better health services to the people of the province.

What they have found is that the number of those with TB is higher than was first suspected.

This report from Cathy Van Extel.
