HIGHLIGHTS
- Syria: IOM assisted Iraqi (265) and Somali (1) refugees to leave Damascus and travel to resettlement locations in North America, Australia, Western and Eastern Europe.
* Jordan: In the past week, IOM facilitated transportation of 9,958 Syrian refugees. Since July 2012, IOM has assisted 209,620 Syrian refugees to reach Za’atri camp from border areas.
* Lebanon: IOM began the distribution of NFIs to 833 recently arrived Lebanese returnee families in the Bekaa Valley. Another 417 families will also be targeted in the South of Lebanon.
* Iraq: On March 4, IOM carried out a fire safety public awareness campaign for refugees in Domiz camp for prevention of fire accidents.
