ll. UPDATES TO THE SITUATION REPORT (As of 6:00 AM 15 December 2012)
• Additional increase of affected families/persons - 53,645 families /266,549 persons due to the updated report and inclusion of new entries: three (3) municipalin Bukidon with 10,799 families/55,111 person; three (3) municipaliteis in Lanao del Norte with 519 families/2,595 persons; and a family with five (5) persons in San Fernando, Cebu
• Number of dead increased by forty-nine (49) due to the inclusion of unidentified cadavers in New Bataan, Compostela Valley
• Number of missing decreased by 91 due to discovery of double entries in the dead and missing in Region XI
• Number of injured person increased by two (2) due to the identified persons in Kapalong, Davao del Norte
• Eight (8) damaged bridges are now passable in Valencia City, Davao Oriental,
Compostela Valley and the Waloe Bridge in Agusan del Norte
• Four (4) roads are now passable in Cagayan de Oro, Valencia City, Davao Oriental and Sultan Kudarat • Areas still having power interruptions increased by 17 in Regions X, XI and XIII
• Only six (6) areas are still having interrupted water supply in Surigao del Sur,
Cagayan de Oro, Malaybalay, Valencia City, Gingoog and Misamis Oriental in Region X
• Only three (3) areas in Davao Oriental with interrupted communication lines
• Totally damaged houses increased by 2,104 while partially damaged houses increased by 6,477
• Additional PHP20 million in the cost of assistance from DOH-CO, DSWD, LGUs,
NGOs/other GOs
• Additional PHP1.88 billion in the cost of damages due to the inclusion of damaged schools and hospital facilities
